About this place
Along the street in Kamiogi, Suginami Ward, Yokohama Ramen Yaoigeya simmers a comforting soup that coaxes clean depth from pork bone. The standard ramen arrives adorned with spinach, seasoned menma bamboo shoots, and nori sheets, striking a mild, mellow balance without feeling excessively fatty. With melt-in-the-mouth simmered chashu on top, it makes an inviting backdrop for slurping down thick, satisfying noodles.
For a punchier, aromatic profile, the black ramen infused with roasted garlic is a standout choice. The counter also serves the generously loaded Hachiogiya ramen—piled with sweetcorn, seasoned boiled egg, and chashu—along with seafood-and-pork tsukemen served with dipping broth and thick noodles, catering easily to different cravings.
When a hearty spread is required, the teishoku set meals deliver. One popular set combines a bowl of noodles with a side of chashu rice drizzled in sweet-savoury sauce, salad, and a slice of rare cheesecake to finish. A smaller set with reduced noodle portions lets smaller appetites enjoy the complete array without overeating.
The dining area provides both counter seats and booth arrangements, accommodating solo visitors and small parties alike. Alongside Friday and Saturday lunchtime openings, the shop stays open late into the evening on several days, making it an easy stop for everyday meals or a restorative bowl after work.
